About This Role

Drive a vacuum truck and operate equipment to perform industrial cleaning and environmental services. Ensure safe and proper execution of jobs at client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Act as safety representative, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate vacuum equipment and hydroblasting equipment.
  • Operate special equipment, such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
  • Operate equipment by energizing pumping equipment, specialized hydroblasting, chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks, and cutting equipment.
  • Examine cleaned surfaces to ensure conformance to company and customer specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on company equipment.
  • Perform all duties associated with liquid vacs, air machines and jet rudders.
  • May direct a crew of vacuum technicians.
  • Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer locations.
  • Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, driver’s logs, and comply with DOT requirements.
  • Load and unload hoses.
  • Unload vacuum truck at disposal sites.

Requirements

  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training
  • On-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs
  • Ability to understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of emergency equipment operation (e.g., fire extinguishers)
  • Class A or Class B CDL License, required
  • No Restriction on CDL License, required
  • Tankers Endorsement, required
  • TWIC, required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience operating a vacuum truck
  • Working knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums
