Utility Clerk

About This Role

Assist customers by bagging purchases and supporting general store operations efficiently, courteously, and professionally to enhance their shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize proper bagging techniques to minimize product damage and maximize efficiency
• Know and implement the Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards
• Accurately and courteously answer customer questions about store items, procedures and policies
• Deliver groceries to and load them into customer’s vehicles when requested
• Assist customers in locating items in the store
• Retrieve carts from the parking lot, ensuring they are safe and clean for customer use
• Conduct price checks for cashiers
• Monitor sales floor, cashier stands, and restrooms for cleanliness and tidiness
• Resolve customer complaints professionally or involve store management
• Comply with and encourage adherence to all health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety procedures
• Operate, clean, and maintain all equipment safely and competently

Requirements

• Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino’s Learning Plan
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills for positive customer and peer interactions
• Basic math and reading skills

Nice to Have

• Valid liquor license
