Ultrasound Technologist Perinatal

About This Role

Provide specialized expertise in performing fetal and gynecological ultrasounds, identifying anomalies, and maintaining accurate logging records to ensure high-quality patient care in a perinatal setting.

Responsibilities

• Apply fetal ultrasound principles in the evaluation of fetal anomalies
• Apply gynecological ultrasound principles in the evaluation of patient
• Adapt to various ultrasound machines while maintaining high standards of sonography
• Identify fetal anomalies, such as CNS, maxillofacial, cardiothoracic, abdomen, abdomen wall, genitourinary, extremity placental, umbilical cord growth disturbance
• Perform ultrasounds on maternal uterus, cervix and ovaries
• Perform complicated twin and triplet scans in conjunction with in-office multiple gestation service
• Identify gynecological anomalies such as fibroids, thickened endometrium and polyps
• Make preliminary, equivocal diagnosis of gynecological and fetal disorders in the organ systems
• Operate General Electric, Accuson, Medison, and ATL ultrasound machines with proficiency
• Prepare patients for procedures including Level I &II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, lung maturity amniocentesis, PUBS, amino reduction, external cephalic version, and GYN ultrasound

Requirements

• Minimum one-year specialty Ultrasound experience
• Associate's degree in Ultrasound
• RDMS certification

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Ultrasound required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• A minimum of one-year specialty Ultrasound experience required

• RDMS – OB/GYN certification
