Provide specialized expertise in performing fetal and gynecological ultrasounds, identifying anomalies, and maintaining accurate logging records to ensure high-quality patient care in a perinatal setting.
Responsibilities
- Apply fetal ultrasound principles in the evaluation of fetal anomalies
- Apply gynecological ultrasound principles in the evaluation of patient
- Adapt to various ultrasound machines while maintaining high standards of sonography
- Identify fetal anomalies, such as CNS, maxillofacial, cardiothoracic, abdomen, abdomen wall, genitourinary, extremity placental, umbilical cord growth disturbance
- Perform ultrasounds on maternal uterus, cervix and ovaries
- Perform complicated twin and triplet scans in conjunction with in-office multiple gestation service
- Identify gynecological anomalies such as fibroids, thickened endometrium and polyps
- Make preliminary, equivocal diagnosis of gynecological and fetal disorders in the organ systems
- Operate General Electric, Accuson, Medison, and ATL ultrasound machines with proficiency
- Prepare patients for procedures including Level I &II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, lung maturity amniocentesis, PUBS, amino reduction, external cephalic version, and GYN ultrasound
Requirements
- Minimum one-year specialty Ultrasound experience
- Associate's degree in Ultrasound
- RDMS certification
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Ultrasound required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- A minimum of one-year specialty Ultrasound experience required
