Ultrasound Technologist

About This Role

Perform high-quality vascular and venous sonographic studies and ensure optimal image production, communicating effectively with patients and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vascular and venous sonographic studies following established KSC Radiology protocols
• Appropriately seek physician intervention as needed during diagnostic exams
• Apply technical principles to ensure optimal image production, considering patient anatomy, orientation, and clinical abnormalities
• Communicate effectively with patients of varying ages and backgrounds to provide clear instructions during procedures
• Participate in technical quality control, including routine equipment checks, maintenance, and reporting operational issues
• Maintain and document cleaning logs and ensure adequate supply levels

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience in vascular ultrasound
• At least 1 year of cumulative experience in venous sonography
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Qualifications

• High school/GED or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience in vascular ultrasound and at least 1 year cumulative experience in venous sonography
