Trial Attorney

About This Role

This role is for a Trial Attorney who will lead plaintiff-side contingency cases, focusing on discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage issues. The attorney will develop case strategy, manage litigation, and leverage custom AI tools and team support to achieve maximum financial recovery for employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead case strategy and results in plaintiff-side contingency work
• Collaborate with in-house developers on tools and systems to improve practice
• Move each case to its next key step aligned with firm goals
• Delegate daily tasks to paralegals and case managers with clear directions, timelines, and limits
• Build and update case plans and follow standard firm processes
• Improve tools and processes with honest input and feedback
• Conduct court appearances, trials, depositions, mediations, and appeals
• Advise clients with steady updates and run negotiations for best value
• Maintain full records and adhere to timelines

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited school
• Licensed to practice law in Minnesota or Illinois
• Strong legal planning and courtroom work skills
• Convincing writing and speaking skills
• Ability to build ties with clients and show understanding
• Clear delegation and team leadership skills
• Focus on quick action and real results
• Solid ethics and responsibility

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited school
• Preferably 2+ years in litigation; will consider 1-3 years with solid negotiation and writing skills
