Traveling Construction Inspector I

About This Role

Join our Traveling Construction Materials Technician team, work on thrilling projects nationwide, and develop professionally. This position involves 100% travel to work on high-profile projects such as transportation, commercial buildings, and wind farms.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and specified procedures
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results
• Perform basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager
• Communicate information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed
• Draft inspection reports for review by senior inspector and/or Project Managers
• Assist more senior inspectors on projects
• Maintain equipment and calibration
• Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects
• Maintain quality standards on all projects

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2-4 years’ experience as an Engineering Technician
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications
• At least one of the required certifications (NICET Level II, ICC, AWS CWI, ASNT Level II, ACI, Radiation Safety/Nuclear Density Gauge)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology preferred
• Minimum 2-4 years’ experience as an Engineering Technician or other applicable experience; 1 year experience in construction inspection preferred.
