Lead and manage the Due Diligence team in the Chicago region, ensuring projects are executed on time and meet client requirements. Develop and implement business development strategies to expand Terracon's Due Diligence practice.
Responsibilities
- Supervise or monitor all projects in the Due Diligence group to ensure timely execution and adherence to client requirements and company policies
- Lead daily operations of the team, including safety, staff training, performance conversations, and utilization of resources
- Develop an Operations Plan and business development strategy for the group in collaboration with regional and environmental leadership
- Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure compliance with safety rules and guidelines
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates for projects
- Perform business and client development activities with support from management
- Develop and manage employee staffing plans, recruitment, selection, and on-boarding with management support
- Prepare and execute annual business plan for the specialty service group with management support
- Oversee and manage key group metrics such as revenue growth, staff chargeability, project billing, collections, and project profitability
- Develop understanding of project-related risk and company risk policies
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology
- 10 years’ practice experience
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline practiced by the Firm including Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology
- 10 years’ practice experience in a technical discipline related to engineering, environmental science, or geology
Nice to Have
- Certification or licensure in field of expertise
