Senior Construction Quality Leader (Highway & Bridge)

About This Role

Oversee inspection and testing for large, complex highway and bridge projects, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications. This role involves coordinating with owners and contractors, leading inspection personnel, and developing material certification procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inspection and testing on large, complex highway/bridge projects
• Coordinate quality through proactive communications with the Owner and Contractor
• Perform testing, observation, and inspection in accordance with specified procedures
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results
• Develop material certification and testing tracking procedures and plans
• Prepare inspection reports and document nonconformance
• Perform basic analysis of data to verify accuracy
• Interact with client and other site personnel to provide input on appropriate resolution of findings
• Lead development of scope for testing and inspection services
• Lead, provide direction and may coordinate activities of lower level inspectors
• Direct and teach advanced fieldwork to project staff
• Maintain quality standards on all projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
• 14+ years’ related experience
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license with ability to acquire in numerous jurisdictions
• Willingness to travel
• Experience with Alternate Delivery Construction projects
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
• 14+ years related experience
