Assist surgeons in a lead role throughout operative procedures and may also circulate in the operating room. This travel nursing position requires an experienced RN with First Assist certification and strong peri-operative nursing skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeon in lead role until the conclusion of the operative procedure
- Circulate in the operating room at times (travelers)
- Work under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Operating Room
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- Current licensure as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- ACLS certification
- Completion of an RN First Assisting course conforming to AORN Core Curriculum
- Five (5) years diversified peri-operative nursing experience with both scrubbing and circulating proficiency
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or American Red Cross
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
