Travel Nurse RN - Acute Care

About This Role

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the Emergency Department, assessing needs, identifying urgent priorities, and applying interventions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Connect with patients and families during triage, identifying initial management of patients of all age groups and assigning priority of care
• Conduct primary assessments of critical needs, detecting and documenting any major deviation from the norm within acceptable time frames
• Encourage and build mutual trust among team members to achieve the best possible patient outcomes
• Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures and treatments, and teach discharge instructions to ensure continuity of care at home
• Maintain awareness of the patient's condition throughout their emergency room visit, updating communication boards as necessary

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a current NYS Licensure
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• At least one year in an Emergency Department setting
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (must be AHA or RQI)

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least one year in an Emergency Department setting.
