Provide direct patient care as a Cardiac/Telemetry Stepdown Registered Nurse for high-acuity patients with complex cardiac conditions, managing medications and collaborating with healthcare staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for a diverse patient population, including those with cardiac issues and respiratory problems
- Manage patient care under a nursing ratio of 1:4 in a PCU setting
- Titrate medications and administer various drips, including Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin
- Collaborate with the charge nurse and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize Philips monitors for telemetry and ensure accurate interpretation of cardiac strips
Requirements
- Experience in a higher acuity telemetry or stepdown unit
- Ability to manage and titrate cardiac medications
