This Float Registered Nurse will provide crucial nursing care across various units including ICU, Intermediate, Stepdown, and MedSurg, adapting to patient volume and acuity to ensure high-quality patient care. The role involves participating in the full nursing process from assessment to evaluation and utilizing EMR (EPIC) for documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in ICU, Intermediate, Stepdown, and MedSurg units as patient volume requires
- Manage patient ratios typically ranging from 1:5 to 1:6, depending on patient acuity
- Participate in the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Utilize EMR - EPIC for charting and documentation
- Participate in holiday shifts as required by the contract
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients
Requirements
- 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a float role
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Active NC or multistate nursing license
- Recent experience with EMR - EPIC
