This role involves facilitating on-ground education for nursing students by incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologies. The instructor will deliver nursing curriculum and engage with learners in all aspects of their education, including evaluation and attainment of program outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate learning in supervised on-ground focused education (SOFE) sites across the United States, including clinical, simulation, or skills labs.
- Teach and evaluate learners in Practical Nursing, Baccalaureate, and Master's Degree Nursing Programs.
- Monitor, engage, and maintain open communication with learners regarding attendance, performance, comprehension, and evaluation.
- Adhere to and enforce partner facilities' expectations for learners.
- Attend nursing faculty meetings, participate in committees, and engage in shared decision-making.
- Deliver instruction through various modalities, including experiential, didactic, evaluations, and NCLEX coaching.
- Participate in the successful implementation of functional projects.
Requirements
- Earned Graduate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited institution
- Active, unencumbered RN or APRN license from state of residence
- Ability to obtain RN and NP licensure in any jurisdiction required by the College, including a valid multi-state license
- Either has an earned Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential or commits to obtaining this certification within a one-year period
- Maintains current knowledge in multiple areas of nursing practice
- Two (2) years of experience in clinical nursing, within the past five (5) years
- Maintains immunizations and certification records as required by accreditation, facility, or state board of nursing
- Proficiency in modern technology platforms and ability to quickly adapt to various software
Qualifications
- Earned Graduate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited institution.
- 0-1 year of relevant experience, 2 years of clinical nursing experience within the past 5 years.
Nice to Have
- Two (2) years of experience supervising clinical education activities
- One (1) year of experience in delivery of Concept-Based Nursing Education
- One (1) year of distance education experience
- Familiarity with learning management software, Canvas preferred
