The Travel Nurse Clinical Instructor facilitates on-ground nursing education, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies and technology. This role involves teaching and evaluating learners, and contributing to the successful attainment of program outcomes and the College's mission.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate learning in various supervised on-ground focused education (SOFE) sites across the United States
- Teach and evaluate learners in Practical Nursing, Baccalaureate, and Master's Degree Nursing Programs
- Monitor, engage, and maintain open communication with learners regarding attendance, performance, comprehension, and evaluation
- Adhere to and hold learners accountable for partner facilities' expectations
- Attend nursing faculty meetings, participate in committees, and engage in shared decision-making
- Deliver nursing curriculum in accordance with the Program's mission, vision, values, and purposes
- Submit required reports according to published deadlines
- May be assigned to various modalities, including experiential, didactic, evaluations, and NCLEX coaching
Requirements
- Graduate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited institution
- 0-1 year of relevant experience
- Active, unencumbered RN or APRN license from state of residence
- Ability to obtain RN and NP licensure in any jurisdiction required by the College
- Valid multi-state license
- Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential or commitment to obtaining within one year
- Maintains current knowledge in multiple areas of nursing practice
- Two (2) years of experience in clinical nursing, within the past five (5) years
- Maintains immunizations and certification records as required
- Proficiency in modern technology platforms and ability to quickly adapt to various software
Qualifications
- Graduate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited institution
- 0-1 year of relevant experience, 2 years of clinical nursing experience within the past 5 years
Nice to Have
- Two (2) years of experience supervising clinical education activities
- One (1) year of experience in delivery of Concept-Based Nursing Education
- One (1) year of distance education experience
- Familiarity with learning management software, Canvas preferred
