About This Role

The Travel Nurse Clinical Instructor facilitates on-ground nursing education, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies and technology while working with adult learners in Practical Nursing, Baccalaureate, and Master's Degree Nursing Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate learning in various supervised on-ground focused education (SOFE) sites, including clinical, simulation, or skills labs across the United States
  • Teach and evaluate learners in Practical Nursing, Baccalaureate, and Master's Degree Nursing Programs
  • Monitor, engage, and maintain open communication with learners regarding attendance, performance, comprehension, and evaluation
  • Adhere to and hold learners accountable for partner facilities' expectations
  • Attend nursing faculty meetings, participate in committees, and engage in shared decision-making
  • May be assigned to various teaching modalities, including experiential, didactic, evaluations, and NCLEX coaching
  • Participate in the successful implementation of other functional projects as they arise

Requirements

  • Earned Graduate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited institution
  • Active, unencumbered RN or APRN license from state of residence
  • Ability to obtain RN and NP licensure in any jurisdiction required by the College, including a valid multi-state license
  • Either has an earned Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential or commits to obtaining this certification within a one-year period
  • Maintains current knowledge in multiple areas of nursing practice
  • Two (2) years of experience in clinical nursing, within the past five (5) years
  • Maintains immunizations and certification records as required by accreditation, facility, or state board of nursing
  • Proficiency in modern technology platforms and ability to quickly adapt to various software

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited institution
  • 0-1 year of relevant experience, 2 years of clinical nursing experience within the past 5 years

Nice to Have

  • Two (2) years of experience supervising clinical education activities preferred
  • One (1) year of experience in delivery of Concept-Based Nursing Education is preferred
  • One (1) year of distance education experience preferred
  • Familiarity with learning management software, Canvas preferred
