Serve as a Travel Consultant, selling international and domestic travel packages by building strong relationships with members and providing tailored recommendations. This role involves continuous learning and has a clear path for future leadership opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Sell international and domestic travel packages including cruises, land packages, travel itineraries, air, car, and hotel
- Share travel knowledge and expertise from personal experiences and/or education study trips
- Develop long-standing relationships with members and build referral and repeat business
- Make appropriate recommendations to ensure trip experiences exceed expectations and are tailored to member preferences
- Cross-sell relevant products like AAA Member Rewards Credit Card and identify theft referrals to enhance trip experiences
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Proficiency in navigating computers and various programs
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sales drive and organizational skills with an eye for detail
- Availability to work most Saturdays and some evenings
- Computer savvy with ability to navigate multiple systems and web browsers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Typing speed of at least 30 WPM
Qualifications
- High school diploma is required, with a preference for a 2 or 4-year college degree
- 2+ years of successful retail sales or banking experience or a leisure travel agency background within a goal-orientated environment
