Travel Consultant

About This Role

The Travel Consultant is passionate about travel and dedicated to selling international and domestic travel packages to AAA members. This role involves building long-standing relationships, making tailored recommendations, and cross-selling relevant products to enhance members' travel experiences, with opportunities for future leadership.

Responsibilities

• Sell international and domestic travel packages including cruises, land packages, travel itineraries, air, car, and hotel
• Share knowledge and expertise from personal experiences and/or education study trips
• Develop long standing relationships with members and build referral and repeat business
• Make appropriate recommendations to ensure the trip experience is more than expected and tailored to member expectations
• Cross sell relevant products to enhance the trip experience such as AAA Member Rewards Credit Card and identify theft referrals

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to pass comprehensive criminal background check
• Ability to pass thorough urine sample drug screening
• Available to work most Saturdays and some evenings
• Successful completion of Travel Consultant Trainee program
• Computer savvy with ability to navigate multiple systems and web browsers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to type at least 30 WPM
• Strong organizational skills pertaining to paperwork

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required, with a preference for a 2- or 4-year college degree
• At least 2 years of successful retail sales or banking experience or a leisure travel agency background within a goal orientated environment
