This role involves planning, preparing, and maintaining surgical instrumentation and the surgical field pre and post-operatively. The ideal candidate will also perform various related activities in relation to room and instrument decontamination.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and maintain surgical instrumentation
- Maintain the surgical field peri-operatively
- Perform various related activities post-operatively in relation to room and instrument decontamination
- Report to the Nurse Manager, Operating Room
- Operate within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a program in surgical technology from an approved school
- Certification in Surgical Technology
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, successful completion of a program in surgical technology from an approved school
Nice to Have
- Experience with general surgery, ortho, gyn
