About This Role

This role involves planning, preparing, and maintaining surgical instrumentation and the surgical field pre and post-operatively. The ideal candidate will also perform various related activities in relation to room and instrument decontamination.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and maintain surgical instrumentation
• Maintain the surgical field peri-operatively
• Perform various related activities post-operatively in relation to room and instrument decontamination
• Report to the Nurse Manager, Operating Room
• Operate within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of a program in surgical technology from an approved school
• Certification in Surgical Technology
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, successful completion of a program in surgical technology from an approved school

• Experience with general surgery, ortho, gyn
