Training Specialist

About This Role

This Training Specialist role involves implementing training plans, developing employees in TPM Methodology, and managing cross-training activities. The specialist will also create and maintain training records and materials, ensuring effective employee development and performance.

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation of training plans and create them in partnership with leadership
• Support New Hire Orientation and assist with training new employees in TPM Methodology
• Help current employees certify in their respective roles
• Drive cross-training activities for employee development
• Maintain training records, crossing training matrices, and conduct training audits/reports
• Validate signed off records with Shift Leader and escalate discrepancies
• Update shift training dashboard daily
• Train employees on standardized work using SharePoint, Teams, and Box for document control
• Initiate, coordinate, or complete skills matrices and qualification checklists
• Coach employees on the One Point Lessons (OPLs) process and on writing them
• Develop training materials and guide teams in creating training materials and models
• Track training hours, training center use, and other T&D KAIs/KPIs
• Manage the T&D Learning Center, including coaching trainers/trainees and seeking leadership support
• Drive the Management of Change process for Training Package materials (Standard Work, Skills Matrices, Training Plans)
• Support TPM Teams on the implementation of TPM the OC Way
• Participate in continuous improvement events
• Attend/lead various meetings and huddles
• Shadow various machines/roles to gain knowledge of plant processes
• Perform other duties as directed by the leadership team
• Support in Plant functions including engagement activities from HR Department
