About This Role

This role is responsible for supporting the Training Supervisor in the administration of the center training program. The Lead Technician will perform all technical tasks within the work areas, assist in training new and existing employees, and provide leadership to staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Training Supervisor in general administration of the center area training program
  • Perform all technical tasks required within the work areas and act as a Lead Technician
  • Maintain complete and accurate records to ensure personnel competency and certification
  • Review employee training materials for initial and annual certification requirements
  • Monitor center training needs and perform cross-training, re-training, and SOP training
  • Communicate regularly with Training Supervisor and Center Management regarding training compliance
  • Maintain certification and perform duties in Phlebotomy, Medical History, and Sample Processing
  • Monitor production areas and donor flow to ensure employees meet goals and comply with quality standards
  • Coordinate and perform new employee orientation, including health, safety, policies, and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of relevant work experience
  • Prior certification in Medical Historian, Phlebotomy, and Processing Technician
  • Completion of all training through Lead Technician
  • Demonstrated understanding of center operations in an FDA-regulated environment
  • Effective communication, organizational, and technical/problem-solving skills
  • Above average performance, customer service, and attendance history
  • Ability to organize and direct the work of others and resolve conflicts effectively
  • Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain complete and accurate records

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of one year of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
