Entry Level Phlebotomy

About This Role

This role involves screening plasma donors, performing phlebotomy, and managing donor records to support plasma center operations for BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda company. The position focuses on providing excellent customer service and ensuring donor safety.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and ensure the safety of donors and team members.
• Screen new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results.
• Utilize the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and implement approved changes to center processes.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, to support donors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful
