Technician - Facility Maintenance Helper

About This Role

Provide essential support to skilled tradespersons by performing a variety of basic maintenance tasks for buildings, forklifts, plant equipment, and grounds. This role involves basic repairs, cleaning, painting, and preventative maintenance, often serving as an entry point into a maintenance career.

Responsibilities

• Maintain maintenance work order program FIIX
• Assist purchasing in stocking and entering new parts in the FIIX program
• Assist in inventory control
• Work overtime as required with production machines
• Assist maintenance technicians on breakdowns, repairs, and installations
• Assist and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters and other testing devices
• Monitor recorded repairs and maintenance performed
• Record parts and materials used, assist with ordering new parts and materials

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1-2 years related experience
• Exceptional attendance and organization skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations)
• Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making
• Able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options
• Some troubleshooting skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1-2 years related experience
