Bag Machine Operator in Training

About This Role

Assist an experienced operator in the setup, operation, and maintenance of a bag machine, ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup, preparing machinery for operation by setting up tools, loading materials, and adjusting settings as directed
• Supply raw material specific to the bag machine as needed to maintain efficient production levels
• Monitor bag machine operations, observing the machine during operation and notifying the primary operator or supervisor of issues or malfunctions
• Assist with routine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, or replacing parts, adjusting machine settings to ensure proper operation
• Troubleshoot minor technical issues, performing minor repairs or adjustments under guidance
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by removing debris or waste materials
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Complete production logs or reports as required for documentation purposes
• Work effectively with other departments including maintenance, material handling, quality, and inventory

• Commitment to safety guidelines and PPE use

Qualifications

• No experience required, 1-2 years experience preferred in a skilled labor role.
