Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

About This Role

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment for a flexible packaging company. This role provides critical support for 24/7 manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Install industrial electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment
• Maintain industrial electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot industrial electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment
• Work rotating weekend coverage and overtime as necessary
• Be available for call-ins
• Work safely around power distribution equipment, hydraulic system, and pneumatic systems
• Read and interpret documentation such as safety procedures, operating/maintenance manuals, and electrical/instrumentation schematics
• Troubleshoot and maintain GE PLCs, Allen Bradley PLCs, variable speed AC and DC drives, motor controls, lighting, power distribution, transmitters, and control valves

Requirements

• Ability to work from ladders, mobile lifts, and follow EHS PPE requirements
• Ability to work safely around power distribution equipment, hydraulic system, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, operating/maintenance manuals, and electrical/instrumentation schematics
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain GE PLCs, Allen Bradley PLCs, variable speed AC and DC drives, motor controls, lighting, power distribution, transmitters, and control valves

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in the electrical/industrial technology field is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Michigan Journeyman/ Master License
• Good Communication and organizational skills
