About This Role

Join a leading flexible packaging company as an industrial Electrician, primarily responsible for responding to trouble calls on industrial and support equipment. This role involves maintaining and repairing machinery to ensure optimal operation.

Responsibilities

  • Follow quality requirements to meet or exceed specifications
  • Effectively communicate with employees from your own and other departments to ensure a team environment
  • Understand and apply knowledge of electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics
  • Commitment, awareness, and involvement pertaining to ISO food safety practices are requirements of all employees
  • Read technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
  • Document technical information through descriptive writing, sketches/diagrams, mathematical expression, computation, and graphs
  • Perform electrical assembly/disassembly, repair, or calibrate components by properly selecting tools and equipment and following procedures
  • Understand the overall operation and control of machines
  • Assemble wires, insulation, and electrical components, such as resistors and capacitors, following method layouts
  • Apply electrical skills to troubleshoot control and operator panels
  • Test assembled instruments for circuit continuity and operational reliability
  • Analyze test results and repairs or adjust instruments according to analysis
  • Calibrate instruments according to specifications
  • Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing
  • Demonstrate persistence when dealing with complex problems
  • Assess the condition of used parts to conform to specifications

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Product or industry specific machine experience
  • Basic Mechanical Skills
  • High School Level Mathematics
  • Experience with PLC’s and drives trouble shooting
  • Completed a Journeyman or Electromechanical Apprenticeship Program in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years’ experience and/or training in a manufacturing facility
  • Advanced skills (Journeyman level) required in one or more of HVAC, electrical, pneumatic systems, and PLC programming

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 5-years’ experience and/or training in a manufacturing facility; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical skills
