About This Role

This role will support the Digital & Information Technology (DIT) division by maintaining instructional labs, troubleshooting software, managing equipment inventory, and ensuring lab standards are met across various district locations.

Responsibilities

  • Install and troubleshoot instructional software in DIT labs according to license requirements and standards for SCH, CE, and corporate classes
  • Maintain, follow, and support district-wide and cross-discipline instructional hardware and software needs
  • Monitor lab interior and exterior to maintain standards, including cleanliness and safety
  • Assist in the maintenance of equipment inventory for assigned areas
  • Assist with internal and external events as needed by the department and COE
  • Keep abreast of current technology, learn new technology, and apply new skills effectively
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues at all levels

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year working with desktops, servers and instructional equipment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Knowledge and skill in MS Office, Apple Programs & Ecosystems
  • Basic knowledge and skill with operating systems, hardware/software installation and troubleshooting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Reliable transportation to travel occasionally to other HCC locations
  • Ability to read, write, speak English and perform simple arithmetic calculations

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
  • 1 year working with desktops, servers, and instructional equipment required. 1 year directly related work experience may be substituted in lieu of educational requirement.

Nice to Have

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with hardware/software/networking installation & troubleshooting, and asset & inventory management
