As a Technical Recruiter at Nominal, you will partner with leaders across Engineering, Product, Growth, and Operations to build technically ambitious teams. You will own end-to-end hiring for critical and competitive roles, focusing on quality, judgment, and relationship-building.
Responsibilities
- Own 3–5 concurrent, high-impact hiring processes from kickoff to close
- Partner closely with hiring managers as a trusted thought partner on role design, sourcing strategy, and closing
- Personally manage and nurture candidate pipelines, building long-term relationships with top talent
- Act as the primary point of contact for candidates, delivering a thoughtful, high-integrity experience
- Lead projects to improve recruiting operations, candidate experience, or Nominal’s talent brand
- Clearly and credibly communicate startup compensation and equity, helping candidates understand long-term upside
- Build and maintain dashboards, analytics, and systems that surface what matters (Type 1 Recruiter)
- Continuously refine outreach, interview loops, and funnel efficiency (Type 1 Recruiter)
- Set a high bar for preparation, follow-through, and operational excellence (Type 1 Recruiter)
- Design unique experiences, events, and partnerships to reach mission-aligned talent (Type 2 Recruiter)
- Tell Nominal’s story in a way that resonates deeply with engineers and operators (Type 2 Recruiter)
- Constantly test new ideas to stand out in competitive talent markets (Type 2 Recruiter)
Requirements
- 4+ years of recruiting experience at startups or other high-performance environments
- Proven track record of building trusted relationships with candidates and hiring managers
- Dependable, resourceful, and gets things done
- Excited by ownership, ambiguity, and building from zero to one
- Aligned with an in-office culture (NYC, LA, or Austin)
- Able to tell a compelling, authentic story that resonates with mission-driven technical talent
Qualifications
- 4+ years of recruiting experience at startups or other high-performance environments
Nice to Have
- Experience explaining and closing on startup equity and compensation packages
- Obsessed with metrics, pipelines, and process quality (for Type 1 Recruiter)
