About This Role

This role involves assisting in the daily operations of the Diagnostic Radiology department, mentoring staff, and serving as a Radiology Technologist. The Team Leader ensures efficient department functioning and patient care in the absence of the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor in the daily operation of the Radiology Department for a specified area
• Administer to the department and patient needs in the absence of the supervisor
• Provide mentoring and guidance to staff
• Perform the functions of a Radiology Technologist
• Provide training and cross-training of staff
• Prepare schedules, order supplies, and implement changes
• Participate in the department's performance improvement program and initiatives
• Ensure a safe environment for all staff and patients
• Provide clinical instruction to prospective radiographers
• Evaluate students' ability to perform procedures and assure objectives are attained

Requirements

• State of CT Radiographer license
• Current knowledge of professional discipline & educational methodologies
• 3+ years experience
• ARRT Certification
• RAD Certification

Qualifications

• HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT
• Minimum three years of experience
