This role involves leading and guiding the daily activities of the rehabilitation clinical support department, focusing on patient flow, quality monitoring, and performance improvement. The Team Lead will ensure professional service delivery and effective team development in accordance with hospital policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and serve as the lead in daily activities of the department
- Assist in the supervision of patient flow from point of entry to ensure timely, accurate and professional service
- Monitor workflow, quality, and performance and provide direction, guidance and oversight
- Recognize improvement opportunities, help implement solutions, and handle complex or unresolved issues
- Lead the team in assuring patient experience is of highest priority
- Oversee the responsibilities of Patient Associate in completing all job duties
- Monitor operational aspects of the department and maintain performance improvement activities
- Participate in infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety, and fire safety programs
- Oversee orders, distribution, and maintenance of designated department-related supplies
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2+ years of leadership experience OR 4+ years of experience in Rehabilitation Services or similar job duties (patient registration, insurance, scheduling)
- High level of interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Ability to promote teamwork and develop team members
- Knowledge and understanding of hospital policies and procedures
- Ability to take initiative and meet objectives
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings
- Expert knowledge of rehab services requirements and regulations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED is required. Associate's Degree is preferred.
- Two years of leadership experience or four years of experience in Rehabilitation Services or similar job duties (patient registration, insurance, scheduling) required.
