Team Lead, PHCS

About This Role

Lead a team focused on the technical and product strategic direction for diagnostic reagent systems, managing product development and commercialization across the lifecycle while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for technical and product strategic direction in conjunction with justifying, identifying, procuring, and managing the physical, budgetary and human resources required for supporting the development of diagnostic reagent systems
• Manage the core development and commercialization with cross-functional team members throughout the duration of the product life cycle
• Identify and network with other functional areas within the company as required to expedite the product development and commercialization cycle
• Work closely with strategic marketing to define customer requirements and translate into appropriate development plans
• Establish overall program direction and goals, and direction of resources toward completion of those goals
• Provide effective leadership for the team while serving as “Program Ambassador”
• Translate the Strategic Business Plan into tactical plans for the product development area
• Communicate with other product development teams to share information and help implement standard product development practices across the company
• Responsible for motivation and development of all personnel within the program or functional area

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline and 8+ years of progressive work experience OR
• Master's Degree in a relevant discipline and 6+ years of progressive work experience OR
• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and 4+ years of progressive work experience demonstrating increased competencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
• 8 or more years of progressive work experience with a Bachelor's; 6 or more years with a Master's; 4 or more years with a Ph.D.

• Increased competencies with combined academic and industry experience in instrument product design/development, software development, instrument or reagent systems integration, chemistry/reagent design/development, project management, marketing management of new products
