Team Lead, Contract Logistics

About This Role

The Warehouse Team Lead assists in assigning work to warehouse personnel, providing training and feedback, and championing safety. This role involves ensuring efficient and correct job completion, supporting inventory control, and coordinating shipments.

Responsibilities

• Assign work to warehouse personnel and provide on-the-job training and feedback.
• Champion safety awareness and ensure jobs are completed correctly and efficiently.
• Identify better performers and those requiring additional training or correction.
• Assist in scheduling, planning, and organizing work schedules.
• Coordinate the unloading of inbound and loading of outbound shipments.
• Apply standard operating procedures to ensure inventory controls are maintained.
• Maintain a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and accurate handling of customer products.
• Provide support to team involving product damage, quality, and safety issues.
• Perform housekeeping activities and assemble crates to contain products.
• Cover shift responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor or senior team lead.

Requirements

• 1-2 years warehouse or related work experience
• 2 years forklift/material handling skills and Equipment Certification
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and interpret documents
• Ability to write legibly and have basic math, computer, and data entry skills
• Ability to make decisions on customer acceptance based on past experience and fitness for use
• Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner
• Ability to lead others to complete work requirements

Qualifications

• 1-2 years warehouse or related work experience, 2 years forklift/material handling skills.
