Senior Material Handler

About This Role

The Senior Material Handler provides warehouse services, including loading, unloading, staging, and storage of customer products, using specialized equipment like forklifts and RF units. This role emphasizes safe, efficient, and accurate handling of materials while adhering to established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately locate and load customer product onto/from pallets, trays, racks and shelves using motorized equipment or by hand.
• Operate special equipment such as a turret clamp, slip-sheet equipment, and RF unit.
• Count, weigh, and record units of materials handled on daily production sheets.
• Complete specialized order processing for loading, including stenciling, slip-sheeting, shrink wrapping, labeling, and consolidating.
• Inspect and prepare trailers prior to loading product to ensure preservation.
• Load and unload picked orders, completing appropriate paperwork.
• Move, stack, and stage customer products and materials using forklifts or other power equipment.
• Complete activity and statistical reports as assigned.
• Assist in physical inventories and ensure facility and contents are secure.
• Follow basic mandatory work instructions and use personal protective equipment to safeguard the environment and wellbeing.

Requirements

• Forklift Certification
• Ability to operate forklift (sit down and stand up), tow motor, motorized and non-motorized pallet jack; clamp, reach and slip sheet
• Knowledge of inventory control and general warehouse procedures
• Light data entry skills
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions
• Basic math skills
• Attention to detail
• Team Player
• Ability to communicate professionally

Qualifications

• 2 years forklift/tow motor experience preferred
