Teacher Assistant

About This Role

This role involves assisting a teacher with classroom duties, including preparing materials, correcting assignments, and providing general support to enhance student behavior and teacher effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with the conduct of a class
• Prepare class materials
• Correct and record assignments
• Support student behavior and teacher

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent
• Two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education OR an associate's degree OR ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test
• Interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience; or two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education; or an associate's degree; or ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test.
• Entry level position

• Secretarial/clerical skills, including ability to operate a computer
