Teacher Assistant

About This Role

This role assists teachers in conducting classes, supporting educational activities by preparing materials, correcting assignments, and performing various other services under the supervision of a principal or other supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with the conduct of a class
• Prepare class materials
• Correct and record assignments
• Perform a wide variety of other services

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience
• The equivalent of two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education; or an associate's degree; or the ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test.
• Interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience, and an associate's degree or equivalent of two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education, or ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test.

Nice to Have

• Secretarial/clerical skills, including ability to operate a computer
