Secondary Administrative Intern

About This Role

This role involves assisting the school principal in the administration and professional leadership of a secondary school within the Davis School District for the 2026-2027 school year. The intern will help direct the school in harmony with district policies and support various aspects of school operations.

Responsibilities

• Work under the immediate direction of the school principal
• Assist the principal in the administration and professional leadership of the school
• Assist the principal in directing the school in harmony with the policies of the board of education and the direction of the superintendent
• Cooperate with the principal and district staff in implementing the prescribed district curriculum and in improving the instruction within the school
• Assist the principal with student discipline, attendance, and other student related issues, and maintain appropriate documentation
• Enhance school climate by dealing effectively with student, parent, and community needs and concerns
• Attend and supervise school activities and meetings as assigned
• Assist in job performance evaluations of classified and licensed employees in accordance with district guidelines
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• School leadership licensure or evidence of enrollment in an administrative licensure program, with completion prior to August 1, 2026
• Current educators license
• Three years successful experience as an educator
