About This Role

Join an established CPA firm as an experienced Tax Preparer, focusing on federal and state tax returns for small businesses and individuals. This in-office role offers long-term career growth in a collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final technical reviews of various federal and state tax returns
  • Research complex tax issues and provide practical recommendations
  • Stay current with tax laws, regulations, and industry developments
  • Communicate with clients to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services
  • Supervise, mentor, and manage staff while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Assign, track, and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Conduct client meetings and provide advisory support
  • Prepare and review payroll tax returns
  • Review monthly bookkeeping engagements
  • Manage client lists, due dates, and workflow
  • Perform research and analysis as needed
  • Support business development by building strong client relationships

Requirements

  • Active CPA license (Florida required)
  • Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a heavy workload
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
