About This Role

Assist clients with individual tax return preparation, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all filings. This contract role in Camarillo, California requires a strong understanding of tax regulations and efficient use of specialized software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual tax returns in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Review financial documents and ensure accuracy in reporting
• Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to complete tax preparation tasks efficiently
• Provide expert guidance to clients regarding tax regulations and potential deductions
• Analyze client information to identify opportunities for tax savings
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate filings
• Collaborate with team members to address complex tax scenarios
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify inquiries

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in tax preparation, focusing on individual tax returns
• Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
