Survey Project Manager

About This Role

This Survey Project Manager will lead, coordinate, and implement professional survey services, ensuring quality and client satisfaction. The role also involves mentoring junior staff and supporting business development efforts within the Renewables and Power Division.

Responsibilities

• Manage project tasks, schedule, and resource requirements
• Manage project budget and analyze profitability, revenue, margins, billing rates, and utilization
• Conduct team meetings with project team to evaluate and coordinate the project
• Stay current on service-specific trends, technology, software, hardware, and equipment
• Drive value based on innovation
• Establish, implement, monitor, and maintain procedures and quality standards for the survey group
• Ensure survey work products have a consistent appearance and are delivered efficiently
• Work with Survey Service Leader and Market Leaders on staffing, utilization and workload
• Grow Westwood’s local and national land survey presence with a focus on developing strategic pursuits of large survey projects
• Support office and market-based business development by providing technical expertise and generating revenue

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a consulting business
• 5+ years’ experience in the land surveying industry
• Multi-discipline experience and strong understanding of all aspects of the Land Surveying profession
• Strong background in project management
• Effective verbal communication
• Independent judgment
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects

Qualifications

• Four-year degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a consulting business and land surveying industry
