Site Design Engineering Intern, Solar

About This Role

Provide professional and technical support for multiple solar renewables projects, focusing on due diligence, site investigation, and site design for facilities. This intern will assist with plans for profile, cross sections, grading, erosion control, and stormwater management.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects
• Perform due diligence and site investigation
• Conduct site design including facility plan & profile, cross sections, grading and erosion control plans, and stormwater management facilities
• Prepare specifications
• Analyze existing delivery routes to determine existing road conditions

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year or two-year technical school, college, or university majoring in Civil/Environmental Engineering
• Strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Detailed documentation focus and sound technical writing skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to travel/work in the field for extended periods and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be at least 18 years old

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a four-year or two-year technical school, college, or university majoring in civil/environmental engineering

Nice to Have

• Civil 3D and AutoCAD drafting experience
