This is a highly technical and fast-paced Surgical Technician II Certified position where you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care. You will be responsible for ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and assisting the surgical team during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate needs of the surgical team and obtain instrumentation and supplies for procedures
- Pass instruments to surgeon and assistant during procedures
- Assist with terminal cleaning of the room and preparation for subsequent cases
- Clean back table and prepare instruments for terminal cleaning and sterilization
- Place instruments back in the tray for transport to SPD (Sterile Processing Department)
- Adhere to all policies and procedures including count policy, universal protocol, and medication labeling
- Work with students and inexperienced staff on correct methods for passing and retrieving instruments during surgical procedures
Requirements
- High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent
- Basic Life Support certification
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Advanced competencies in a minimum of 3 specialties
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent, and Graduate of certified Surgical Technologist program, military trained, or AD in Surgical Technology preferred

- Graduate of a certified Surgical Technologist program, military trained, or AD in Surgical Technology
