Supervise and coach respiratory care staff, manage daily operations, and ensure the delivery of high-quality respiratory services and equipment to patients. This role involves implementing evidence-based practices and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach staff to provide respiratory care services
- Serve as subject matter expert to determine and oversee delivery of respiratory equipment needs for patients
- Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of respiratory care goals, objectives, and pulmonary standards
- Plan and direct respiratory care daily operations
- Recommend developmental opportunities and build collaborative relationships
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the designated work team, ensuring policy adherence
- Demonstrate clinical expertise by implementing and coaching on latest research and industry developments
- Lead teams in maintaining a safe and compliant care practice, ensuring adherence to regulations and safety protocols
- Lead efficient and effective operations management, including resource allocation and inventory
- Lead patient care practices, including comprehensive assessments and care plan development
- Lead service quality improvement initiatives, managing projects to enhance therapy services and coordination
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in health care, customer service, business or a directly related field, with two (2) of those years being in respiratory therapy OR Minimum six (6) years of experience in respiratory therapy or a directly related field.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate
- Basic Life Support
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports, plus 5 years in healthcare/related field (2 in respiratory therapy) or 6 years in respiratory therapy.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care, Health Care Administration, or a related field.
