About This Role

Provide diagnostic ultrasound services for OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular superficial structures in a hospital or clinical setting, promoting team concepts and KPNW's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures including routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures and required age of patient served
  • Communicate with Radiologist on findings
  • Assist patients and transport as needed
  • Review exams and manage files
  • Restock supplies and clean examination areas
  • Perform Quality Assurance functions

Requirements

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP Accredited Ultrasonographer Program or 2 years previous Ultrasound experience
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Abdomen OR Ob-Gyn at hire
  • Sonography Technologist License (Oregon) at hire
  • Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire
  • Daily use of diagnostic equipment and healthcare computer systems
  • Demonstrated customer-focused service skills
  • Ability to use and apply excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP Accredited Ultrasonographer Program or 2 years previous Ultrasound experience. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • Entry level with either specific program graduation or 2 years of prior experience

Nice to Have

  • Minimum one (1) year experience performing Ultrasound exams, preferably within the last three (3) years
  • Vascular Ultrasonographer experience
  • Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning
  • Attention to detail, problem solving, decision making, judgment
  • Technical skills, initiative
  • Communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, organizational relations
  • Adaptability, following Policies and Procedures, flexibility
  • Able to work unsupervised and perform exams independently and confidently
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) ARDMS certification
