Sonographer - Maternal Fetal Medicine and High Risk

About This Role

Perform and assist in performing quality neurovascular sonography procedures to provide efficient and quality services. This role involves data management, documentation, equipment operation, and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists in performing quality neurovascular sonography procedures
• Obtains appropriate data management and documentation and utilizes hospital resources appropriately
• Communicates in an effective manner to provide efficient and quality services with high customer satisfaction
• Participates in educational activities to enhance patient care and quality
• Performs appropriate equipment management including operations and maintenance
• Utilizes appropriate competencies, guidelines and environment for safe patient care
• Provides and/developmental appropriate patient care in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age group served
• Performs cardiac ultrasound studies including 2D, M-Mode, pulsed and color flow, stress echo in a physician office or hospital setting

Requirements

• Completion of an Allied Health Training Program in Diagnostic Ultrasound (Associate's degree)
• Or completion of a correlative Allied Health Program with successful completion of a postgraduate course in Neuroultrasound
• Or Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses, and other ancillary professional staff
• Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with public, patients, physicians, and other medical center staff

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an Allied Health Training Program in Diagnostic Ultrasound, or completion of a correlative Allied Health Program with successful completion of a postgraduate course in Neuroultrasound, or bachelor's degree in a related field.
