About This Role

Lead and develop a production team to consistently deliver high-quality meat products in a safe, sanitary, and efficient environment. Manage people, equipment, and processes to meet daily production goals, ensuring compliance with company policies and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of production employees to deliver high-quality meat products
• Ensure daily production goals are met by managing people, equipment, and processes
• Maintain full compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and food safety standards
• Plan and allocate daily resources including labor, equipment, materials, and systems to meet production targets
• Document daily production activities, analyze performance, and communicate variances
• Facilitate smooth production flow and effective shift-to-shift handoffs
• Prioritize and request maintenance work orders and follow up for timely completion
• Apply focused improvement and root-cause analysis tools to resolve production issues
• Ensure strict compliance with quality programs, HACCP, GMPs, and food safety requirements
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and coaching employees

Requirements

• Working knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
• Working knowledge of hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP)
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and other food safety, quality, and manufacturing principles
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with employees at all levels
• Ability to manage multiple priorities using effective organizational skills and judgment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent in Business Management, Production Operations Management, Agricultural Science, or Food Science is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably food manufacturing.
