QA Technician

About This Role

Ensure compliance to quality and food safety requirements within food production operations, working directly with QA management. This role involves reviewing paperwork, performing quality checks and audits, and maintaining relevant databases.

Responsibilities

• Review and correctly complete QA/HACCP paperwork in all production departments
• Interact and communicate with management, QA, production team members, government officials, and 3rd party contractors
• Perform routine quality checks and audits on production, the dock, and the facility
• Develop and maintain databases as needed
• Perform QA sampling and testing methods
• Understand the processes and methods involved in food production
• Understand and practice appropriate safety procedures, including education, training, protective equipment use, and adherence to safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• Competence in QA transactions, in SAP, Excel, Word and Outlook
• Understanding of GMP’s, SSOP’s, and HACCP principles
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of work hours
• Ability to perform continuous lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.
• 0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred.
