About This Role

Join our maintenance team as a Superintendent in North Jersey to inspect equipment, perform basic repairs, and oversee contractors for a multi-unit condominium. Utilize your maintenance experience and technical skills to ensure proper functioning of premises and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
  • Perform basic electrical work, plumbing, and fix leaks
  • Oversee contractors for professional repairs
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them, reporting to management
  • Perform basic tasks including painting, filling crevices, and cleaning facilities
  • Repair company machinery, equipment, or appliances
  • Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs
  • Regularly check community spaces for issues like litter, mechanical failure, or breakdowns
  • Respond to clients’ maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Repair plumbing, electrical, and safety systems
  • Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks
  • Oversee the sprinkler system and trash containers on the company premises

Requirements

  • Proven maintenance experience with a 500+ multi-unit condominium
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts
  • Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs
  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
  • Experience performing routine maintenance
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Professional presentation and attitude
  • Strong time management skills

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), related degree from a technical college
  • Previous maintenance experience with a 500+ multi-unit condominium
