Summer 2026 Intern - Upstream Processes

About This Role

This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to the Upstream Processes team at Sanofi, focusing on fermentation area troubleshooting and data analysis. The intern will work with a Sanofi scientist to advance knowledge in technological developments applicable to vaccine production.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical contributions in the fermentation area for troubleshooting
• Assist with investigations required for the completion of project deliverables
• Expand data analyses of complex systems
• Learn to take courses of action that lead to resolution of roadblocks
• Maintain up to date knowledge in technological advancements and regulatory trends applicable to the area of expertise
• Propose applications of new technologies to currently existing platforms to improve productivity, throughput, purity, quality and/or compliance

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, health sciences, information technology, or other STEM related field
• Expectation to complete current degree by Spring of 2028
• Enrolled in school the semester following the internship/co-op with Sanofi
• Able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship
• Permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, health sciences, information technology, or other STEM related field
