About This Role

Serve as a Student Recruiter Assistant to support Houston Community College's efforts in student recruitment and retention, engaging with diverse populations and community agencies.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or 4 years related experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience in admissions, testing, recruitment and retention, counseling, or student service activities
  • Experience working with a diverse population
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with community agencies and social services
  • Ability to work on a team with diverse individuals
  • Self-starter and problem-solver
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent Time Management Skills

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college. Four (4) years of directly related experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in admissions, testing, recruitment and retention, counseling, or other related student service activities. Experience working with a diverse population.

Nice to Have

  • Bilingual
  • Knowledge of the greater Houston area
  • Familiarity with the service area school districts, universities and colleges
