Join KPFF Consulting Engineers as a Structural Designer (EIT) to learn, grow, and contribute to diverse building projects. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, perform structural analysis and design, and develop high-quality drawings while benefiting from strong mentorship and professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Structural Engineers, Associates, and Team Leaders on a wide variety of buildings types and materials
- Perform structural analysis and design using software such as Revit, RAM Elements, SAP2000, ETABS, Risa3D
- Learn to develop clear, high-quality drawings and project lifespan processes
- Participate in site visits and field observations to see designs come to life
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure project success
- Engage in mentorship and continuous learning, both guided and self-driven
Requirements
- B.S. degree or higher
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, RAM, Risa3D, or similar
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Firm understanding of the fundamentals of structural engineering, including free body diagrams and P/V/M diagrams, coding, and mechanics of materials
Qualifications
- B.S. degree or higher in Structural Engineering
- 0-4 years of structural design experience, preferably with relevant internship experience
