Structural Design Engineer

About This Role

The Structural Design Engineer will apply engineering principles to develop, integrate, document, and evaluate flight vehicle structure designs. This role ensures designs meet performance, cost, manufacturability, and regulatory requirements, focusing on primary and secondary structures, payload design, weight analysis, and lofting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate flight vehicle structural designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design, integration, documentation, and compliance.
• Apply metallic structural design expertise.
• Utilize CATIA and Boeing design processes; ENOVIA experience preferred.
• Support Boeing or Spirit commercial aircraft programs, with emphasis on primary structures.
• Contribute to product development, new design efforts, and post-delivery evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Engineering
• 2-4 years of experience as structural design engineer
• Experience with primary/secondary structures, payloads, lofting, and weight analysis.
• CATIA proficiency
• Boeing design processes
• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
